Took my chances and started messing around with one of my stock headlights. Put it in the oven and guess what?......LOL
It is just a try out. The headlight is not sealed back yet. I wanted to c how it looks. Not sure if I am gonna do it that way or completely black them out. I like them both ways...but one thing I like for sure ...is to be original.

Let me know what you all think....feel free to post your opinions.

I wanted to do this before but I wasn't brave enough or at least didn't think I was ready to do it myself. I will replace them but not now....maybe in the summer and may do a HID conversion

The engine won't crank. Its a safety feature built into the immobilizer. No yellow reflector, no engine. But I do beleive the radio and everything else will still function on 'acc' ignition setting.

I think u misunderstood the question. I am talking about the little reflectors that goes inside the headlight on the side. They are not electrical. ..

should of painted both the rings black, not a bad job tho, i did my black out on my headlight wen the truck had less than 3000 miles, i just bought my truck that time ooo.

No you don't need them, it's such a minor safety feature and no one will ever notice or say anything about them gone, plus they look way better without them.

Like I said...I havent sealed back the headlight because not sure if I want them all black. I kinda like them like this a little more. It is getting kinda boring everybody with the same style of blacked out headlights.

I'm sure there required but honestly it's something that even the most nitpickey cop or inspection station wouldn't ever notice or care.
