Exhaust looking good, I like how high up the pipe is and that it's out of sight. Wouldn't mind doing that to mine.

Thanks for the compliments on the exhaust... it was supposed to be temporary, but it's grown on me. RE the Satoshi, that was done awhile back for my '97... I just posted in response to the question from madbomber, but thanks all the same.

Great spot for your exhaust to dump, I havent noticed any fumes since cutting mine in the same spot and riding with all the windows down. I was a little worried about backdraft into the back window but it hasnt been an issue.
You should make a new video comparing the TRD without the resonator to your old setup, i would like to hear the difference in tone.
Thanks, Nate. I was a little worried about the fumes as well, so I'm glad to hear it hasn't been a problem for you. I do have an old video of the TRD setup, so all I'd have to do is get a video of the new one. I can do that sometime and post it up.
I like the exhaust work.. I'd love to have mine like that in general. I've had to cut mine back a couple times and now it's too close to the frame. So, it rattles sometimes when I'm sitting at a red light or something. Looking forward to your handy steel work!
I appreciate the feed back, sir! Sounds like you need to check the yards near you for a new tailpipe too. I made damn sure that thing wasn't going to rattle... stuff like that drives me nuts. Thanks for keeping up w/the thread.

First of all, here's the two lights side by side. The new LED light on the left, and the light that CBI provides on the right. I terminated the wires on each with spade connectors, they don't come like that.
I cut the shroud back on the new light to allow the light to escape the fixture at a wider angle, and widended the mounting holes on the light to match up w/the holes on the CBI bumper.
Next up I drilled the CBI with a new hole for the light's wiring. The wires come out @ center on the new light, versus offset to the left on the old light. You can see the old and new holes below..
Finally, although the light is advertised as waterproof, I wanted to make sure that is true. LED's don't like water, so I took some RTV silicone and sealed the light where the lens meets the base plate. There was already some glue there to provide a seal (which is why they can claim it to be waterproof), but it was a very thin later and it was hard and brittle.
RTV on the mating surfaces, and then I put it back together...
Same thing with the entry point for the wiring...

Also, I know this isn't the kind of metal work that you all were looking forward to seeing, but it's metal, it's welded, and I made it, so why not?
I recently put up a new fence around our front yard for my Wife. In doing so, I had to remove our old mailbox post, so I made this mount to attach the mailbox to the new fence. I'm going to leave it unfinished and let it take up a "natural"... aka rusty... finish.
