so after reading for many days and waiting weeks for it to ship i finally recieved a pie aux adapter in the mail. i have a 2004 sr5 with the jbl 10 speaker system stock radio. the second i got home from work i ripped into the dash and tried installing the adapter. this is my conclusion....either i read wrong and this will not work with my radio.. i have the wrong parts...or im just a complete dumba$$... can anyone vouche that this actually works? please help.. any advice is welcome. or better solutions than the pie but no fm transmitter or tape cassette

Normally you would need and external CD changer or other type of slave unit to make something like this work. Post a link to the "destruction" manual here or PM me and I will have a look at it.

unplug the middle plug off the head unit and plug the adapter inline with it, i think thats where it should go.

I didn't think that a pie would work with the 6 cd changer JBL, if I'm wrong, I'd love to get one...

I just reinstalled my USA SPEC adapter, i would assume the connection is the same. Unplug the small connector from back of radio, plug in the new wire. Then plug the factory end (was in the radio) into the female end of your adapter.

My USA SPEC works just fine with 6disc indash radio.

thanks for the replies ill try this when i get back from the beach on tuesday. i'm pretty sure i tried that plug and when i reinstalled i couldn't get it to work.. im not sure what i'm doing wrong? how would i activate it once installed? i read you just push the cd button twice and it should start playing
