I can't say much regarding this statement. This baby is getting me around while my beast is down (It's a loaner from a friend).
As soon as my Runner is back up, I'll let you know why I hate these things. Put it this way, the list is growing!

I just got back from the cathedral. Five nuns and a 87 year old priest in a wheelchair now have black eyes because of you, SV.
Take down that listing now, or tomorrow morning I visit a puppy store. The next morning it'll be two puppy stores.

Each generation has their pros and cons
1st gen's have things going for them: available solid axle, respected 4cyl engine, awesome roofless capability, 2 door style, timeless looks.
3rd gen's have: an excellent selection of engines, supreme reliability, good power with good mpg, 4 door convenience, etc.
2nd gen's have nothing going for them. They suck. Various things.

second Gens have... um... engines. and they roll. and they have comfy seats.
oh yeah I take back the dislike of fourth gens... the ones I don't like have the craptastic plastic gray bumpers and fenders etc.
