when would we know what the 2015's hold? I know that was just got the 2014's but I was looking to turn in my 2011 for a 2014 or 2015 Trail Premium. These are very hard to come by here in Central NY and they just had a black Trail Premium with KDSS, which is what I am looking for.

With the 2014 I would get the 30th anniversary rebate on top of any incentives that they have. I can't see them having any rebate on the 2015's.

I would LOVE a V8 again as I totally miss my 2005 Sport Edition w/ V8. I don't see this as an option for the 2015's but who knows. I don't know any other option that they may include that they don't now. I don't want the navigation but its not an option.

Any opinions? My mom is also looking for a new RAV4 as well and wonder what the changes would be for that as well.

Toyota is way too tight with their info. I ordered my TE in July of 2012 and a 2013 was built in September. During August and September I was not able to find any info and the dealer had no info either on the 2013.

Go get one now and enjoy it, the differences may not be major and you don't want to always be waiting for the next model.
 
Given they just did the mid-gen refresh for 2014... any substantial changes could be unlikely.

As for the Rav4, they just re-deisgned it for 2013 (Fourth Gen). A re-deisgned Venza is supposedly being released for 2015 so your mom may want to look into that.
 
I think the V8 has come and gone in 4Runners for good. The 6 is plenty of power with decent mileage (IMO), so I doubt there is enough demand to bring back a V8. As for the RAV4, as has been pointed out, it was just redone so don't look for any real change on that. Besides, life is too short to always be waiting until next year!
 
I told my mom the same about the Rav. I mentioned that there may be a different color available but I wouldn't count on anything major at all.

As for the Runner, I heard talks about a different transmission to enhance MPG's. Maybe I had my wires crossed. Thanks guys. Guess I will have to start my search for my Trail Premium with KDSS. I would love to see factory HID's in the Runner but again, don't think it will happen and it can be had aftermarket anyways.

because Toyota wants you to step up to a lexus gx460 if you want a v8.

why sell a 4runner v8 when it will clobber your lexus model sales.


rav4 is way to bloated compare to when it first started out (which was the whole point of the rav4, small & compact). venza would be a bigger version of the rav4 with a v6 at least. I think they dropped the v6 in the rav4 now. highlanders are just way to dam expensive imo, but they are nice if you want a crossover with a lot of luxury. but if your going to spend that much on a highlander, I would look into the lexus RX series. pre-owned 1 year lease RX are going for around 35-45k and you save a boatload on depreciation compared to a new one.

Generally Toyota will release info around August/Sept , But with the new TRD pro coming and the FJ gone maybe we might get some early info.
 
Thanks guys for the info. I am going to search the TRD Pro to see what differences that holds. Is that just in the 2015 models or is that going to be a new line of vehicles for the Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra? Meaning, are these a one shot deal for 2015 or will it be ongoing.

That is a good question as to whether they will continue past '15 or not. Probably depends on the overall sales.

The cool thing about those rigs is that they come with 60mm Bilstein shocks front and rear. Pretty sweet for a factory ride.
