No kidding, I never would have guessed that they even sold Jeeps down there. Wranglers maybe but not Cherokees.
No way I am driving miles out into the Outback in a Chrysler product.

I sold my 3rd gen and bought a 2014 JGC........6 months later I was driving a 5th gen 4R
Oh how I can relate to this video... Let me count the ways.
I had a 2012 JGC that was a piece of shit lemon that will be referred to as "The POS" from here out. Within the first 3k it grenaded its first torque converter. Eventually replaced the replacement torque converter as The POS grenaded a second one. The POS constantly shuddered while driving. Eventually The POS began just shutting off while driving and or not starting from time to time. I pursued a lemon law lawsuit but Jeep just dragged their feet for over a year. I said F it and got rid of The POS. Never again. **** jeep and Chrysler with a rusty pitch fork.

I had a bad lapse in judgement and almost traded my '10 TE in for a very nice 2015 Jeep yesterday. Thankfully my husband talked me off the ledge and offered to lift my truck instead. 
Upon doing more research this morning, I realize just how crappy Jeeps are compared to Toyotas.
Upon doing more research this morning, I realize just how crappy Jeeps are compared to Toyotas.The ONLY thing that has kept me going back to Jeeps for the last 27 years is the removable roof / doors. On a nice summer day, driving a Jeep with no roof or doors is awesome. Driving one the other 300+ days a year sucks.
If the FJ would have been made with a removable roof, I would have been the first person in line to pre-order one.
I would never buy a GC or any other Jeep product, but I have little doubt that the masochist in me will eventually buy another Wrangler unless someone builds something comparable. (I am interested to see what the new Defender ends up looking like)

Yup, Had the same reoccurring problem on my JGC 2-3 times a year. TSB, nah, just keep paying for it sucker.

Coming from a lifted 4 door JK Rubicon to the 5th Gen TRD Pro I do miss having the ability to remove the doors and top so I'm looking to get a YJ or TJ for a weekend or beautiful day driver. However the Toyota is far and away a better daily driver and more reliable. Can't tell you how many issues I had with the Jeep over the 4 years I owned it

Right brand loyalty to an extreme. I mean you polish or put new sheet metal on a turd. . . .its still a turd. I worked at a Chrysler Dealership and it was ridiculous the issues on 2000 mile or less units with no crazy driving, and how much of a pain it was to get it warrantied. They are crap and I will never buy one from working on them personally.
That's awesome. What I find shocking is the company loyalties. When I was looking at purchasing our 4runner at the end of 2011, we did look at the JGC. Doing online research I was looking at the consumer reports website (I know, I know) they had all the reliability ratings, they had ratings on percentage of owners that had issues. All the JGC numbers were so low, but the one number that blew my mind was that they had a rating that went something like "despite the issues would you buy this vehicle again?" and the survey rating percentage was in the mid 90's!!!

What I find shocking are all the Jeep Wrangler loverboys that have their cloth tops still on even when its 0°F. Knock yourselves out. I guess its a Jeep thing.

Yeah, Chrysler products....yuck. I've had my own horror story about one of those.
However, we had a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and I loved that truck until it got close to 100k. It started rattling from every crack and crevice and there was a recall on the gas tank. We never could get the ABS light to turn off without the dealership wanting to tear up the whole system. The radiator just decided one day that it wasn't going to hold coolant and we had to replace that. Up until 100k, I was ok with it. Of course, it was a base model and was 4x2 so we probably avoided some issues because of that.
We looked at a new one a few years ago, but, weren't willing to pay that price for another Chrysler product.
