i need some help picking subs

So I look that crap up and WTF? If your gonna throw in some crap like that why don't you just put in another sub? I can't believe that anyone would buy that.

That's what I'm saying. If this contraption is what I'm thinking then there is one working sub and then the cone of another sub mounted to the box. Only one sub is auctually getting power while the cone of the other one is just filling in a hole. It would be better to just take the cone out and build a new box.

its just alot cheaper that way. plus i dont want too much bass so really i have a super clean 10 with a little extra punch for a few hundred cheaper than too much bass

got em put in yesterday. they BUMP. i am having some difficulties with my camera. mainly because i cant find my charger. when i get that figured out i will definitly put up some pictures. The guy at Custom Sounds said that the way my brother had this set up built (Liquid Audio in Midland, Tx.) made them alot louder than the same set up is typically. I have the bass turned all the way down to -2 because if it gets over 1 i cant really hear the rest of the music.

Nice!!!!! Heard nothing but good comments about those G5s. Some punks stole my TC 10 OEM on Monday so now I'm in the market for a new sub. I'm going with a RE SE, IDQ10V3 or if I could find an Audiopulse Epic.


Oh, and for people that don't know what setup he has, its a Passive Radiator. Basically, its like porting your box....but requiring a smaller box.

great choice on set up...G-5's are by far the best subs i have heard, so clean and still get LOW! Was that box made for a passive radiator like that? (most of the ones i have seen have a cube box with the radiator on a perpendicular side of the box relative to the sub)

bet you love it for making it sound like youre at the concert in your driver seat!
