Icon Stage 1 Adjustment Help

Yesterday I had a Toyota dealer install an Icon Stage 1 kit and set the coilovers to 2.5". I took it straight to the tire store for wheels and tires. My measurements from center of hub to fender when stock was 19.75" in the front. I'm now at 23.25" in the front. This doesn't take sense to me since the kit is adjustable for 0-3" of lift. I have 18 threads showing which equals about 1.5" of threads. Also, I ran out of time last night when I attempted to adjust them. I had the rig jacked up on the frame, but the whole shock would spin with the adjustment ring. Does this just need lubrication to spin freely? A couple pics...

The entire shock definitely should not spin when you try to adjust the height, especially on new coilovers. Make sure the threads are clean then spray them with a lubricant before adjusting - teflon works great because it doesn't attract dirt as much.

Did you loosen the set screw? The shock will rotate a few degrees either direction, but cannot spin.

I did. I actually completely removed it so I could put some anti-seize on it. The shock would bind against the cup (?) after a few degrees and I didn't want to force it anymore. My wife took it to work today so I'll give it another shot tonight with some silicone spray.

Yep, that is fine. The adjuster will be difficult to turn. I use a breaker bar in the square hole on the wrench and/or 2.5lb sledge hammer.
