Icon Stage 2 test drive

Snooperstyle was kind enough to let me test drive his 4Runner. It can be described at least in part as a TE Conversion; ICON Stage 2 w/ LRUCAs; 285/70/17 DuraTracs; Baja Rack; SW Sliders.

Roads were wet and it was drizzling off and on. Snooperstyle test drove my SR5 for comparison too as did I. I had a yellow light flash on the dash but don’t know exactly where. These weather conditions did favor my vehicle as it has softer suspension. That said I still think mine handles poorly and will be upgrading.

The ICONS did not seem harsh or rough to me. It handled very well thru the cloverleaf with no appreciable roll. Considering how tall it sits that was pretty impressive; don’t recall amount of lift.

The vehicle stability system came on at least once, I think about three or so lights were blinking, don’t know which ones as I was looking at road and not dash. When they came on the system operated pretty seamless without to much noise.

Vehicle had a slight dip, but nothing to complain about, actually the dip was quite minor considering how high the vehicle was lifted. This is a real guesstimate but I think dive was reduced by around 75%.

Thank you Snooperstyle for letting me test drive you 4Runner
