Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve been around and there are a lot of new faces. WELCOME!!!
I’m getting ready to install my ICON upper/lower trailing arms and track bar and have a few questions.
1) For those that have done this, is it better to support the truck by the axle or frame?
2) Should I apply anti-seize to the adjusting collar’s inner and outer threads?
3) The instructions for the upper trailing arm say to apply assembly lube to the link bushings. The instructions for the lower trailing are and track bar don’t mention this. However, since these are going to get greased, it would seem to make more sense to first pump a little grease through the fitting to flush any fillings out of the fitting and then prel-ube the bushings with grease instead of assembly lube. Is this a better idea than using assembly lube?
4) Should I use any lube/oil/grease on the ball point ends? It would seem that anything I apply would tend to hold dirt and slowly grind away at the joint.
Any tips to make the install go easier?
