Icon UCA's

Picked up some used Icon UCA's today. They were only used for 5,000-10,000 miles and then were in an accident so they have some dings on them. I checked measurements and made sure they weren't bent and everything checked out. They do have some dings on them, but I can live with that. They are still plenty strong. I got a great deal so it was to good to pass up.

I have a few questions, I am not very experienced with installing suspensions and so I haven't handled UCA's before. Ducmonsta's shop will most likely be installing my lift, so I am not worried about installing, I just want to make sure I have them in good shape before I take them to get installed.

These will most likely be sitting for a while before I get the CO's and have them installed, so what should I add lube/grease to to keep them ready to go?

These were all dirty when I got them so I spent a good portion of the afternoon disassembling what I could and cleaning them, everything was fitting and unscrewing smoothly.

Also It looks like one for the screws coming out of the uniball has some dings in the threads. I have a tap and die set but it is standard, not metric. Does anyone know what size die I would need to try and rethread this?

I would see what the cost was for the ball joint replacement. The part that is stripped is the upper most portion that the castle nut needs to be threaded at. It would only contact half of the thread.

Unless, the threads of the ball joint are longer than stock, you won't need to worry about it at all.

The guy I bought them from said he looked into it and that part is just like a 20$ part from Icon. So I may try and call Icon directly tomorrow.
