True, but after 325 miles with a 3-year-old in the back, it's time to stop and gas up anyway. If I was trekking across a desert or somewhere totally remote, I'd want better range. I don't mind stopping for 10 minute breaks. :toilet3:

it was me, im proud to say. with the economy and gas prices, i would love to drive one. I would rather drive a volt but that wasn't an option. Let the reaming begin . . .
 
I would probably have to say FJ60. Something about older suv's with round headlights just seems perfect to me.

Fj60 just seem perfect to me. So simple yet can do just about anything.
 
Voted for other SUV. If I kept it around the same price, I'd probably get 90-97 Landcruiser. However, if I'm able to afford a bit more then maybe a 4th gen 4Runner.

lol i was just giveing a bad time, but yeah wow i cant stand the "hybrids" they technically cost more to own an operate over a 10 year span than a hummer H2, and the cost and environmental impact of disposing of one is so high... -not that im a save the earth kinda guy but yeah i just cant stand them, and they can only be worked on by the dealer, there are so many "special" tools need to work on one of those...
 
haha well im pretty sure the volt is more eco friendly and more economic at all times than an H2. I cant fathom how you derived your statistics. Even the base cost is a $10K difference with the volt being on the lower end.

I have been driving a donor 2001 completly stock Mustang GT...not like my 88or 89 5 liters but thats another story...before my recent mishap (search stump pulling=airbag)...I would have said hands down a 3rd gen or 4th gen Mustang. I was looking at having to total it since the cost to replace a (windsheild, two airbags, clock spring, controller module, DASH (seem expanded between the airbag box and windsheild) came to 4500 at the dealer and my NADA valued just under 4000 (Metlife). Luckily I was able to barter some IT work with the body shop and I am now down to 1200-1700 to fix it. Plus I now have a new client with lots of needs I should come out more than even on this.

Oh well long story short it was nice having driving a mustang once more...but I really do miss my 4runner nothing like the height and secure cargo storage option. Not to mention the ability to go anywhere...

I did find some good 4runner for sale here in the Atlanta, GA area if anyone is looking I would say its a 2wd paradise and 4wd (hard to find) and mostly rust free option.

I should be getting the "yota" back by end of the week to return me to normal again.

I agree - but if I had to get a hybrid, i would just get one of the Tahoe hybrids.

I'm not going to bag on ya. I recently borrowed my moms Prius and it cost me under $20 to do a trip that cost a full tank (at least $60) in my Runner.
 
Considering I just got my 3rd gen and my finances wouldn't suddenly sky-rocket, I would get another one. If I had more money I might get a double cab 05-11 Tacoma. I miss having a truck, but possibly a 3rd gen and 3rd gen toyota truck with the 22re and 4x4. Or a V6 and do a 3.4 swap.
 
Well, mine WAS totaled:happens:, so I am going to replace with a 2000 Limited 4x4 Natural White hopefully. sweet! I am also looking at a 1999 Limited 2wd Natural White. I really want the 4wd though because they are both in great shape, have about the same number of miles and are both about the same price.
