fit_of_vanity, congrats on your 4Runner. I have an 03 V8 4x2 SR5 and it's great.
My first car was a 1912 Ford Model T touring car. A friend and I took the train from San Diego to San Francisco, 400plus miles to pick it up. We worked at the guy's house for several days to get it running and the 400 or so miles return trip took over two weeks. We took mostly back roads because the warp drive could not get the thing much over 40 mph. When it broke there was always someone that helped, parts, advise, food, lodging, tools and we made it. The Model T was not registered, we did not have a driver's license and no insurance. The trip was made in the 60's when I was 15 and it all seemed to be ok.

you know you'll still be her friend even if she put spinners on it. WOW the emotions are flying high in here, after reading 6 pages of opinions Im happy for vanity but I have a touch of road rage from others:awais:
Congrats on the new truck and soon enough you will forget about the Sports and Limiteds, I was in the same situation at 17 now 25, I asked my father if he could get me a car and I ended up with a loaded 96 Nissan Pathfinder, I treated that thing like it was made of glass and put a coat of wax on every weekend, black truck look spankin
I went to a school where the norm was 50k cars, back in my senior year the parking lot was full of brand new LandCruiser driven by guys who just got their DL
: yeah you had the kids who took everything for granted and smashed up cars but I've seen adults in their 30's and 40's do the same to brand new cars so I can't say it's just the kids but the teenage guys are more aggresive behind the wheel, as for vanity Im willing to bet her Insurance at 16 for a 4Runner is nothin compared to a guy at that age, hell I should know.
Anyways my father hooked me up with a brand new ride at 17, my brother right now is driving around in my 4Runner that I gave him and I'll go out and buy another one, my father taught me that in life you got to work for yourself if you want the good things, it's your mindset if you are taught that you need to go out and get a job and work for the next 5 years to save enough to buy a new car then thats that, but if you come from a family like mine where everyone is a business owner and they buy what they want when they want it puts an entire new spin on how you view things.
It's golf course economics, your either gonna work for someone else and make them rich or work for yourself.
I had a real eye opener when I was covered in sweat working on cars and my boss who decided to come into work that day drove in with a brand new Lamborghini Diablo, after I did the math and realized I'd be dead before I could afford a car like that I eventually quit and changed careers:

My sister took pictures of our 4Runners today. Mostly of hers [so my mom can see it] but mine got in a few pictures also. I'll post them tonight when I load 'em and resize them stuff.
And I haven't said this yet.. but thanks for the nice welcome and [for all] the congratulations ya'll are giving.
(I think I could have worded that differently and it wouldn't sound so weird...? lol)

Wait a second, I'm not sure if I'm reading this right. You said,

Can anyone suggest a program where I can resize these pictures? I'm not a big fan of IPhoto (actually I can't figure out how to resize pictures on it.. and save them as a diff. pic). I just need a small program (not like photoshop) for mac. If I could get the other computer to get online for more than 5 minutes I wouldn't have a problem. I'm not used to this mac stuff yet.

I misunderstood you. If you just want to download something quickly, go to www.download.com. Where it says search, type in "resize image". I had many applications pop up. I don't have any experience with any of these applications though. Good luck.
