After trading in my 1997 4Runner for a 2012 Corolla earlier this year, I recently began looking again. I love my Corolla, I just need something larger and more fun to drive. I plan to keep the Corolla for commuting, and found an absolutely amazing deal on a 1998 4Runner today.

Oxidized roof and hood, some rust on the rear bumper and hitch, back window doesn't roll down, and she needs a timing belt job soon. Other than that, an amazing rig! No frame or other body rust, 180,000 miles, newer tires, and a fat stack of excellent service records. 5speed!!! Runs great!

Best part? Paid about half of blue book for her. Can't wait to dig out my ARB and take the rear bumper from our wrecked project and get this thing looking clean :) First purchase is the timing belt parts, followed soon by a sport hood and matching paint for the roof and hood. :)

So happy to be back in the T4R realm!

You need to update your sig :thumb3:

Looks like a great rig. Awesome price; dump the savings into the maint. / mods.

Welcome back.:welcome:

Thanks everyone :D

Sig updated, fluids checked, maintenance records organized, insurance updated...

Now the hunt begins for mods (even though I don't *plan* to purchase anything non-maintenance related for at least a couple months). :)

Brian757, as can now be seen in my updated sig, I'm all about the Yotas. The Corolla is awesome, and my first car purchased new off the lot, but it's quite a boring drive. And there's no room for my horse tack or for moving furniture!

And Supra725, that Shell is off of Suisun Valley Rd in Fairfield. Picked the T4R up in Alameda yesterday.
