Im having some trouble finding some part and CB radio location....please help

Hey yall im new. I have had my 86' Toyota 4Runner for about 8 months now. I've been looking around for an extended Grill Guard (you know the kind that you can push shit with), a tubular style rear bumper ( i think that was stock on some toyota trucks in the late 80's...(not sure if it was or not but its a good looking bumper) and some tail light guards, you know the black tubular style guard things that fit over the rear tail lights. I have seen these on newer cars but never on a 1st gen 4runner. (if you dont know what im talking about type in tail light guard on ebay...theyll come up). Also i just bought a real cheap CB radio for highway travel use. Ive seen some clever mouting for the antenna whip, but not many suggestions as to where to put the CB unit itself. Right now its on my dash to the left of the steering wheel. I was just wondering how yall have your CB's mounted and what would be a better way about doing that. Any help on where to find these parts would be great and i would be thankful. Im trying to go cheap, so if its like $600 for just the rear bumper (a quote i got off an off-road retailer) then dont bother posting im not a millionair here.

i know nothing about the bumpers or anything.. but i do CBs. I have a 93, and i mounted a 8' whip on my rear luggage rack, with a 12G ground wire. As for the cb itself, i took off the passenger sun visor and monted the cb just to the right of the dome light, where the visor would have been. I ran the coxial cable from the CB to the attenna along the upper trim on the passenger side, with the wire coming out a drilled hole below the luggage rack (weather-proofed with silicone). The rear view mirror makes a good mic holder.

thanks for your suggestion. i dont know if my rearview mirror is sturdy enough to mount the mic there, but thats what i was looking for. thanks

Depending on the size of the CB, take out the stock radio, put in an aftermarket stereo, and put the cb beneath/above it

yeah, depending on the size of the CB and the mounting bracket for it, since you have an '86 (i have an '87) i am sure this will work. i removed my factory rear view mirror, and drilled holes in the cb mounting bracket to match the two holes closest to my windshield for my rear view mirror, and mounted my cb right there. then i went and bought a $20 replacement mirror, and glued the mount for that below the cb on the windshield. BAM, works like a champ!

on my 86, i just wedged in sideways in between the drivers seat and the center console; it fit perfectly
