I always thought it was silly that they just didn't make a factory winch bumper so they could fit the diesel in the Power Wagons. But they are interesting vehicles none the less, even if they're Chrysler products.

I always though the sheer weight of the diesel was part of the problem (actual offroad ability) as well.
Either way, ive looked hard at the PWs a few times. I really like them, i just cant get over the abysmal fuel mileage (maybe a diesel would help with that) and having to think where i would actually take something that large off road. Great looking trucks though, i wish i had the need for one.
Nope- I'm still here...could have used a truck these past 5 months- WANTED a truck, NEEDED a truck- BUT I rented like 8 trailers to get the job done, lol.
Just turned over 140K. Gobi has taken one hell of a beating and everything is filthy in and out.
but I'm still here.
Gonna miss you marshal for sure- you a good guy.:thumb3:
oh no. was it the smell finally?
Congratulations!
I bought a new truck recently as my Ram was losing the transmission and getting long in the tooth.
I looked hard at the power wagons but the Runner works for that role and a diesel pulls my boat better and..I'm buying a bigger camper too!

The articles I read said something along the lines that the flush mounted winch impinged on the engine bay enough that a diesel couldn't be installed.
Oh yeah .... cab lights. I couldn't have a P/U without cab lights.
Nice Will. It's just ostentatious enough. Arr arr arr ....
A real man would have kept both.

Peace out brother but still stop by to keep in touch. :hatsoff:
you should. for 2018 the RAM HD's got passive noise cancellation in the cab. apparently its like riding around in a Cadillac. They also got android auto/carplay and the updated U-connect which is apparently the best touch interface ever. I'll attach a photo at the bottom
here are the only photos i have of it at the moment:
PWs are cool. I would not mind owning one.
Anything with factory lockers these days is cool. I think the only ones sold here at the moment are
- Dodge PW
- Jeep JK Rubi
- Chevrolet Colorado ZR2
- GWagon
The fact that they included a winch from the factory in the PW is just super cool. Imagine if Toyota had the passion to do something like that.
Do we need a "Sold my runner and bought a truck but Im still lurking" sticky?
Welcome to the club!
Here's my goodbye truck
i'll just be on ExPoPerfect, I just got a new Android. Jelly of the PW, there are a couple of PW forums you could check out if you're interested.
Kept the T4R and added a full size.

Raptor has an optional front locker as well. Ford has a electronic locking rear differential option on all of its F series models. The Power Wagon also borrows the electronic swaybar disconnect from the Rubicon as well.
