I just purchased a 2007 Toyota 4Runner sports edition w/ the V8. After much debate I decided to hold off on the 5th edition due to a lack of V8. Just curios, I am looking to replace the JBL stereo with a nav unit, and I also want to put a cold air intake on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can't comment too much on the nav but searching will produce alot of results. I'm not a fan of cold air intakes unless you're willing to put the time into maintaining them properly.

i just did a nav install and can answer any questions you might have about that. As far as a CAI, I thought I remember a big debate on here that said the truck was designed to work better with the intake that was on it. I went with a $30 K&N from amazon for the moment but Ive seen some nice intakes on here.

I had thought about going with a CAI but just with the K&N Filter and did the HCF delete.

That's because the engine and transmission came from a vehicle with far higher engineering standards and price tag.

Thank you all for the welcome. I have had many V8s and this is by the far the smoothest drivetrain I’ve ever experienced. I am not sure which nav unit is compatible with the JBL radio. As for the CAI I am leaning toward the K&N. There is so much I want to do to this truck. I am looking underneath the truck and saw some rust. Should I be concerned? Obviously, I expect some rust but was wondering if anyone else has the same issue. My work car is a 2007 Crown Vic and has a lot of rust on the frame. Also, I did a 3 step Maguire’s wax the other night due to the hood feeling rough. After waxing the hood, the paint still seemed rough. Would a clay bar help with this? Sorry about the picture it’s the best the I have now.
