Man it`s cold

It was a relatively balmy 7 degrees in NoVA today...for maybe the first time ever, glad I'm not in WV.

We call these temperatures here in Canada 'Winter'... And it finally came this year... Just wish I had more snow and less ice to go play out in. I took my garbage out tonight in -20 C. This is my first winter with the TE and I must say its a beast in the snow. Hands down best handling (snow) vehicle I've had, and that includes 2 Subarus, 2 Jeeps, Bronco,....etc.

Not all of Canada is cold. Here on Vancouver Island it's 40F and cloudy, and we don't even have enough snow in the mountains for our ski resort to open.

Lol we have a friend staying with us from Ontario that had never been to BC (westcoast of BC ) every morning they wake up and look outside and can't believe it.

I was pouring maple syrup on my bacon and drinking a beer while watching the hockey game when I read this then saw a polar bear wearing a tuque go by.

Oops, my bad. Excuse me while I go brush my tooth...er, teeth. Yes, toothpaste was invented here in WV. If it was invented anywhere else it would have been called teethpaste. Stereotypes - gotta love 'em.

<-oil field electrician in Edmonton, Alberta. They wouldn't even consider sending us home until it hits -40°c. Pretty nice day out right now @ -17°c, balmy even.

They'd have us running around outside CFB Cold Lake down to -40 as well. Wind chill never counted, since us folks in the green clothes had little entrenching tools to dig shelter into the permafrost with.

I need to dig up pictures, but at about -30 we needed to lube our C1A1's with light diesel fuel (or run totally dry) rather than CLP, since that stuff basically turned solid and would lock the breech blocks up into the carrier.

I was out at Foster Creek last year pulling cable through the worst of it, definitely feel your pain.
