If you look at most batteries available today they come in either 60/72/84 month warranty or for the Math challenged 5/6/7 year warranty. Disclaimer and also why they offer pro-rated policy is they dont always last that long. That being said the factory batteries in our trucks are great and having one last 8+ years is excellent.

FYI-- Toyota does sell a direct replacement battery that is the same Group size as the Panasonic. I don't think there are any aftermarket batteries available in our terminal configuration and group size, so if you buy an aftermarket battery, it will be a bit smaller (and probably less CCA) than the original Panasonic.

Most dealers sell the direct replacement for just under $100

I just replaced my Panasonic battery yesterday on my 2002 with 108,000 miles. I bought a Duralast Gold, 750 CCA, 8yr. warranty with 3yr. free replacement for $84.95 at Autozone.
