Im thinking about order a 2012 4runner, need some advice please

I have been visiting a few dealers and they said they don't have any 2012 models anymore, they only had a limited production and they won't get anymore till 2013 models. They had a few trail editions and some limited editions, but i can't afford those, I'm looking for a 4WD white SR5. I visited about 3 dealers and they either didn't have the color i wanted or they were to pricy with to many options.

None of the dealers offered me to order a 4runner how i want, so i assumed they don't have any 2012 models anymore, i thought the 2012 models have all been sold out and i have to wait till 2013 models to come out (the reason i thought this is because ford is just releasing 2013 mustangs and they are mostly sold out of 2012 mustangs)

So i guess I'm hoping to get some straight answers, do you guys think i can still order the 2012 models and can i order them at just few hundred over invoice?

Im looking for a 4WD SR5 White with 3rd row seat and nothing else.

I local dealer just got a white 4runner in my area, 2011 used with 18k miles, they wanted $35,999. I kept pushing to get it at $32k OTD, but the lowest they could go was $33,500 OTD. I figured at $34-35k i can find me a 2012 new SR5 OTD here in North CA area???

Invoice for a 2012 4wd is $30,200 i believe?

2013 T4R won't be out until late fall. Run, don't walk away. There is no reason one cannot be located or "ordered". Google "Amex auto purchase". I got my LE for a little less than they offered for reference. Good luck and be patient. A 100 mile drive to save a few thousand is a no brainer unless you're a surgeon

I second that. Get away from that dealer. Use Amex and the dealers will bid for your business. Some will even deliver the car right to your driveway. The Amex program even works for used cars too. Play around and get the car and price combo you want.

I understand that the 2013 mid year revamp T4R will be going back to it's original roots even more. Here's a sneak preview of what to expect.
Seriously though, 2 good recommendations from the previous posts. Plus $36k for the 2011 with 18kmi does not strike me as a great deal for any model by any stretch.

they came back to me at the table about 5 times trying to re-negotiate the price. i kept sticking at $32k OTD and finally came up to 32,500 but that was final. Their last offer was $33,500 OTD, but there was a model a few hours away with a 3rd row, new 2012 for $35,000 OTD, so i told them i would rather pay extra and get a new one duh.

anyways, i contacted a few dealers about ordering a new one and finally one got back to me and said he can order me a 2012 4WD with 3rd row and power seat at $200 above invoice at $32,305 then its about $3-$3.5 in fees and taxes. I'm assuming thats a great deal.

ill do the Amex auto purchase search and see what it can do for me.

quick question, is moon room standard or is that an option and how much is that extra? i can't seem to find that as an option when i was building it on toyota site.

just went through AMEX, looks like ill be able to get what i want for $100 above invoice, thanks guys for saving me another $100 that counts and saving some money on gas because i won't have to drive as far lol

well i tried to order 4runner SR5 with 3rd row seat, but the computer would not allow us to order it unless a convenience package is ordered with the 3rd row. Kinda sucks, i didn't want GPS or convenience package or moonroof, ONLY 3rd row.

so anyways, ended up buying what they had available. few hundred miles away

I found a 35k OTD for one with absolutely nothing salsa red about a year ago. 35.6k OTD for those options seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Any dealer that can't get you the model and options you want is just BSing you...they are trying to get rid of their inventory. My dealer ordered mine exactly how I wanted to include the color at the price I was willing to pay. Only bad thing was I had to wait 2 weeks because of the nuclear meltdown in Japan. Other than that I got what I wanted. Take your money to a dealer who will work for YOU!!!

we tried to order white sr5 with 3rd row seat, without GPS and without moonroof, computer kept giving us error.

car came directly from Japan to a port and was picked up by a truck, and then we picked it up.

at the moment i won't be doing any upgrades because its my wifes car, but i want to get a leveling kit followed by some 285 Firestone Destinations
