I saw the post regarding the HID kit for our stock housings (not ideal imho but I will wait and see what others think of it) as well as Harper's PIAA foglights. What I really want are some long distance driving lights for late nights here in the wild west (lots of deer, etc to contend with). Ideally I was thinking some sort of xenon driving light kit (for long distances) as well as switch the stock fogs to a higher contrast color bulb (yellow to slightly improve fog performance). Thoughts?

It all comes down to how much you want to spend, where you want to mount them and who is going to mount them for you.
They have lights ,like they run in the Baja 1000 that literally turn night into day if you have the cash.You usually get what you pay on driving lights.I would wire them up with a separate relay and the high beam headlight switch as they blind oncoming traffic if they are used on the road.

But there are plenty of good brands out there though! You'll have to do the research on brand and type you want.As stated they make the 510's in driving or fog,I have the fogs.
See the attached...had to wait while those suckers crossed the road yesterday...you can imagine what happens when its pitch black out and a black cow wanders into the road somehow and you don't have the forward throw in your lights to see it in time :lookout:

That shot reminds me of when I had my '01 Impreza 2.5RS. It was silver with a large, bulging hoodscoop. Loved that little car. Man, I wish the SR5 came w/ the hoodscoop. That was, hands down, my favorite feature of my Impreza.
I'm a Berg too, btw. Assuming that is your surname, does everyone think you are saying Bird or spell your name Burg? I get that 90% of the time.

Sorry if I this is posted elsewhere but HARPER did you install the 510's yourself? if so did you build your own mounting bracket?
