Fog Lights
Hi: After spending a few nights reading some interesting information and having in mind to put into practice some of these ideas I went and follow your advise.
I recently bought my Runner (May 27, 05) in Venezuela. Mine is the Japanese version 5RS. I did the combination swith wiring, except I never saw that blue cable...but it worked anyway and the fog lights worked as mentioned. The problem I have now is that I want them on whenever I turn on the fog switch.
How can I do that? I tried the instructions on connecting to the "green cable" turn signal for power bending the pin on the fog relay etc. In other words, I want to turn the fog lights regarless of the mode and to have them turn off when I turn of the swithc in case I leave them on.

I want a timer that clicks my foglights on for like half a minute till I enter the truck... Like courtesy lights.... or dome light supervision... meh... I'm gonna cook up something to make it work!!!!

Great thread though, and I just couldn't help putting that joke above on the end! I just spoke with Steve at XenonDepot and have ordered the 9006 HID kit to put in the fog lights. If I am still not happy I will order HID Aux lights. If the existing fog lights work, I won't have to worry about getting aux lights broken.

Independant auto-off foglights
I now have independent control of the fog lights just using the existing factory fog light switch..... they can be on or off regardless of whether any other lights are on as long as the keys are in the ignition!!

I wasn't sure where the C12 Combo switch harness was until it was realized it's inside the steering column surround....One thing though ...the '05 SR5 has a different color wire - it isn't blue...... it's red w a green stripe at pin 17.
