Info. On Parts

I forget who`s truck this is, but its a members TE. I am trying to find out some info. on a few of the parts that are on the truck.

The light bar is from Defiant, but is it their standard small bar, two light set up? I like the spacing between the lights and I guess I can send a picture to them and find out.

What model # are the PIAA lights and what is the best way to set them up? Should I tie them in with the high beams, or should I run them off of a separate switch? Just looking for some opinions on this and what works best.

Who makes the wind deflector for the cross bars and will it work with round Yakima bars?

yup, I've been there and it's very good. the white sauce (i don't know what it's called) that they give you with chips is addicting. we actually live very close to there. enjoy.

Sorry, I've been at work all day.

The light bar is a Defiant- Short Bar, plain black endcaps, two lights. The lights are PIAA 520 ATP. I got them on ebay for less than $200. They are wired to be operated independently of the other lights. Antman talked me through buying the right parts and wiring them in such a way that the lights are fused properly and can operate as long as the ignition is on, and can completely removed from the vehicle without leaving a trace. No factory wiring is molested! In the owner's thread I posted a picture of the Daystar switch I used. I dremelled out the hole a tiny bit and the switch fits and looks perfect. Right now I have the wires going through the grill, but I may get creative and make them disappear somehow. But alas I will have to go to Maryland with food and gifts for that...

The fairing is Thule, 38". It fits perfectly between the rails. I don't know if it will fit round Yakima bars, but it may- it comes with some adapters for factory bars. It's four years old. It started looking a little beat up, so last year I sprayed the slick middle part with Plasti-dip. So far it is holding up great, but its peeling a little on the nuts that hold it to the clips.

You were right, the chips and sauce were great. We loved how they make fresh guacamole right in front of you, and the wife loved the margaritas.
