Mr Burtman's rep has suffered over the last few yrs , hope he's doing better at getting product to customer's just saying ? Gibson make's good stuff had the alum one on my 03 dbl cab taco . Easy to install but again can read some reviews in 4th gen .

I had two successive Gibson cat-back systems on my ZR-2. The first was great. When it needed replacing, I bought the same part number. It didn't fit properly going over the hump of the rear axle, and would vibrate against the axle housing ... very annoying. The tubing was bent improperly.
I notified Gibson, but in spite of their warranty, would do nothing to back up their product.

No more Gibson for me!

This is the same unit that fits on the 4th gen. See this below from the other post I made in the 4th gen forum.

Hands down, :first: the best sounding CBE for the money on the 4th gen v8.

It will sound very similiar on your 5th gen. Nice, deep, mellow sound, and drone isn't bad like some.

I'm with you, as I'd like to pick one up for mine but can't bring myself to do it without hearing one first. I've heard too many horrible sounding exhaust systems when coupled with 6 cylinder engines.

I can tell you this. When someone is worried about an exhaust maybe being too loud or asking my if it's gonna have drone, I sell them a Gibson. For example, I've sold a bunch of Nissan Titan exhausts, and the Gibson is the smoothest sounding with most mellow tone.

Now, here is a v6 on 4th gen, sorry, only have in cab sound. I've heard it, and it's a nice throaty sound, not overly loud, and I think compliments the look of the truck. ALso, the uploader has some comments.

I wonder how much I am going to have to mod this to fit my rear bumpers. Both of my 5th gens have rear bumpers and the curent (stock exhaust was cut and bent to not hit the bumpers.

Oh, you have aftermarket rear bumpers. Well, it will be easier since this system comes in pieces and isn't already mounted. You could easily take the end portion and match it up to what you changed on the stock setup, or, if you are doing it at home, cut the end tip off and replace with turn down tip. Whatever you do, it will be easier than what you did to stock exhaust, since you will have it in your hand
