Installed Morimoto 2.0 LED Radio Stopped Working

Today I installed the new Morimoto LED 2.0 headlight bulbs. The low beams work but not the high beams. Contacted Morimoto and they stated I need to buy a set of resisters that plug inline with the headlight connectors. Which I'll do today.

But, the radio will not turn on though. Nothing. The 15 amp accessory fuse is good. All fuses are good. The dome light, clock, fan all work. I removed the 15 amp fuse the items stopped. Reinstalled a new 15 amp fuse and everything goes back to working fine. I checked all functions of everything in the vehicle electrical and they all work. I checked all fuses (kick panel and engine bay) and they are all good.

In addition, I replaced all fuses, disconnected negative post for 15 mins. Nothing. When the driving lights are turned on, the radio lights do not come on either.

Maybe check the accessory relay? I'm not exactly sure.

97' & 98' do not have a radio relay.

OEM or aftermarket radio? If aftermarket, check for fuses on the back of the radio itself.

Odd coincidence though - I wonder how they could be linked.

Factory radio. This weekend I will be removing the radio to see if power is at the connector to the radio. Perhaps there is a 10 amp fuse that plugs into the back of the radio like aftermarket radios use.

UPDATE***
Took the factory radio head unit to a factory radio service shop. The microprocessor and power supply were both dead. The technician stated "somewhere along the install of the new headlights you caused a short which produced a power surge that went into the constant low voltage power lead of the radio head unit (maintains memory). At 22 years old, your components inside are fragile and do not respond well to power surges. Your radio can not be rebuilt, parts not available. Dead. Either upgrade to aftermarket or purchase a used one off the many sites on the web. If you use another model make sure to get the amplifier as the connectors are different."

My buddy who has a 2002 4Runner just upgraded to a touchscreen double din. I took his old head unit and amp and it was plug and play.
