Installing TRD Pro bumper trim pieces on SR5

I'm about to purchase a White T4R Trail and just came across this forum. I really appreciate all the great info!!



I'm looking to replace the front and back valances with the TRDPro black valances. I have the part number (thanks to Hook Em' Horns) for the front valance, but need the part number for the rear valance. Does anyone have that??



I also saw the clip information on this forum. If I use the clips that come with the White Trail, will they show on the black valance? or should I order the black TRD Pro clips?

There is no difference in the clips so just reuse your existing ones. Even if you break a few you'll still have plenty. Toyota over clipped these pieces in my opinion.

This is crazy but I received my used TRD Pro garnish. It is still attached to the bumper panel(it was cut off). I've been trying to remove the garnish. The tape is on strong. The garnish will break for sure if I pull on it hard. I spray a crap load of goo-gone between the garnish and bumper piece letting it saturate. Gonna hit it with a heat gun and hopefully I'll be able to gently pull it off.

Warm the piece up slowly and take your time. Just a little bit of pressure with constant heat and it should pull right up.

What kind of running boards are those? We have the same car but mine are fugly with the silver trim.

Very do-able, just a good soaking of WD-40 or Goo-Gone plus a heat gun/dryer. It'll will break for sure if you try to pull it off too hard or end up cracking the garnish paint.

I have his lower valance too, its in pretty rough shape, scuffs, cracked paint, tabs are broken, and a crack on the corner. I'm gonna clean it up, bondo the crack, sand, secure those broken tabs, repaint it in a satin semi-gloss black to match the garnish. The TRDP valance is a much glossier black compared to the garnish.

Now I just need my upper grill and rear valance. TE hood comes later. :thumb3:

Trigger pulled!!! Still can't believe $535 for two pieces of plastic!!! But the difference in looks is well worth it. Now I hopefully get the package before my wife does.

Where did you find it for 535? That is a good price (relatively speaking).

Edit: I'm confused are you talking about the grill kit?

PRO grill + 20" LED install

Finally got around to installing my PRO grill and 20" LED bar.
I mocked up the mounting and all I needed to do was to drill the holes a little bigger in the spot that I used to mount onto the metal black grill support using home depot L bracket .
Once the extra vertical material of the bracket was cut off I drilled holes for the light bracket to mount to the home depot L bracket.
I used red Loc-tite on all the screws and will take it for a weekend drive to see if anything will rattle loose before I do a final mounting/alignment.
Still deciding if I want the power to be on constant, accessory or high beam.

Can anyone tell me if the TRD PRO rear valance is installed over the trim piece that goes around the hitch or does it replace that piece entirely? I have a SR5 and I lost the hitch trim piece on my last snow trip so I'm trying to figure out if I need to order both parts, or just the valance.
