Instrument Cluster Change

New to the forum and still learning about my T4R;

I have a 2000 Limited 4x2. I need to swap out my instrument cluster. Will a swap from another 1999 or 2000 work regardless of 4 cyl or 6 cyl engine? MT or AT transmission? Will the miles on the new cluster display the miles from the donor T4R or is that info stored in my ECU and will the miles from my previous cluster display?
