Interior Corrosion

Is anyone else showing corrosion on the metal piece where the seat locks onto the recline adjustment? I looked around with a flashlight and noticed surface rust on some of the other hardware inside the pillar and inside the seat back. It is not forming where the seat connector makes contact. No wet dogs in my car and that area has always been kept dry. Any thoughts? Some sort of galvanic corrosion? It is roughly the same on both sides.

hmmmm.... not sure on that one. Though, I see that your avatar picture is your truck on the beach. I assume you live near the fresh SALTY air? Do you drive on the beach regularly? You would be surprised how quickly things can rust near the ocean.

When (if) you drive on the beach, do you have you're windows down? I can picture some sea mist making itself at home, if that was the case.

My two cents!

Good luck, curious to your outcome.
