Hey all, just wanted to share a good experience with a group called Fyre Flys LEDs for my interior LED swap.

I bought the yitamotor 6000K interior LED kit for my 4Runner and had them installed for a good 4 months before the dome and cargo LEDs started flickering. I called/emailed yitamotor on eBay and never got a response from them, so I did some digging. Plus they were a little too blue for me.

I ended up meeting Allen who owns Fyre Flys LEDs, and he has a lot of cool products. I ended up buying a 5000K set of interior LEDs (~$25) from him in person at his shop in Houston, as that's where I live, too. Really, really nice guy. He took time to tell me the differences between all of the LEDs and systems. Even helped me install the license plates LEDs!

Anyway, I'll give him a shout out because high quality service is worth the additional time.

He also showed me some brand new LED headlights that the LEDs are placed in the same space as OEM filament to prevent erroneous glare. I'm not ready for those, but a lot of people are from what I see.

EDIT: Did find this on my phone just now comparing the 6000K (bluer light on the right - yitamotor) with the ~5000K (whiter on the left - Fyre Flys). Will send full interior pics tonight.

My yitamotors are starting to shit the bed.

Two have fully died. One being a plate light, which is risky. I have another which is flickering now. Definitely need to go around and replace em all.

I couldn't handle the flickering in mine and had turned them all off which was doing me no good!!

Forgot to mention in the original post that he offers a 2 year warranty on the bulbs in most cases.

I also feel it is necessary to note that I didn't get anything free and am not sponsored by Fyre Flys and this is not spam ...just a satisfied customer!
 
I'm afraid to say that the Yitamotor dome is flickering on mine and it's driving me nuts. Was good while it lasted. Thanks for the recommendation!
 
Sorry for crappy iPhone pics, but this is what they look like.

Honestly, much less nighttime glare than the previous ones as well I think simply because it isn't as high powered of an LED in the front map lights.

Also I'll include this last one but the cargo area is a little different in my vehicle because I installed my own custom cargo lighting which is in my build thread.

Just ordered the 3014 series from their Ebay site. Supposed to be much brighter than the 5050 series on their web page (and about twice the price, but still under $50)

Hope to have good results.

Does anyone know what bulbs are in the door lights? I don't have lights in my doors, so wondering if there are other places I can use them or keep them as spares. Or maybe sell them on here.

IIRC they were all the same except for they dome light.

Nice! Would be interested to hear your thoughts after you get them.

The door lights (puddle lights) are your standard 194 light just like the license plate lights, map lights, vanity lights...so if you have/got any of those you will have the right bulb. Additionally, the kits include those lights so if you don't have puddle lights you now have extra lights for your map/vanity/license plate lights! Or you could sell them like you said.

194. Their the same as the map and visor lights.
 
Excellent. I was hoping that is what they were. Should probably fit a couple of spots on the girlfriends Rav4.

Appreciate the info. Will post an update once I get them.
 
For those that have bought the kits, where does this bulb go? (on the 3014 series kits)

Nevermind, found out they are for the license plates.

My dome light is flickering pretty badly SOMETIMES. I thought it may be because it wasn't a great fit in the hole.

This thread makes me believe it's on the way out, even being only a few weeks old.

Can anyone confirm?

I'm the OP and I have had zero problems with these Fyre Flys LEDs. They fit much better than the yitamotor set I had previously in the dome and the cargo areas.

purchased the overpriced Precision LED kit about 5 months ago. the 2nd row dome light and one of the tailgate lights are already flickering. and as u mentioned the 6000K are little too blue.

also it appears Fyre Flys is only a couple miles north of me!
