Interior Light Question

I've meant to ask this for a long time, but keep forgetting about it.

In my truck the roller light-dimmer on the dash, left of the steering wheel, will dim the interior dash lights and if turned fully on will illuminate the dash to "day-time" brightness.

However, it will not turn on the interior overhead lights.

Every other car I've owned, or even driven, the dimmer wheel when turned full-on will turn on the interior overhead lights.

Is everyone else's 4runner like this also, or is something in mine not working properly? :wow:

It's normal. There isn't an ALL ON mode you have to turn on light one by one.

But the cool thing is, if you have your headlights on in daylight you can keep the dash at full bright!

I think I might just keep asking the question until I get the answer I want.

The '11 Trail is the only model that does not offer the all on feature.
