Internal bike rack for tall people

I have a couple of bikes I'd like to transport inside my 2015 Trail if it's possible; a XL Scott Spark 960 (29er full suspension mtn bike) & a 61cm road bike.
I've seen the fork mounts nailed to a board, but my bikes seem too tall for this??? Any help would be appriciated.

I've seen some really col slide in racks. The guy made it from steel. The rack slid out the back of his SUV where he set the bike on the rack without the wheel. Then the rack slid into the back on a track.

I'd be surprised if your bike doesn't fit upright with the front tire removed. Try taking the front tire off, stand it on the garage floor and measure the height. Measure the T4R door opening and see how much you may need to tilt the bike to get it inside.

Do you carry the road bike and the mountain bike at the same time? It's more likely you will have one of your bikes and a friend's similar bike to carry.

Thanks for the quick reply...I was thinking of something like this inside the back of the car. I tried a dry run without the front wheel attached & it wasn't even close. Is anybody aware of a different option/design?? (XL Scott Spark 960 & 61cm Scott CR1 Team)

I ride an XL 29'er and carry it inside. Here's how:
Take off front tire
Remove seat post
Mount a skewer mount on a piece of 5/4 board cut to length of cargo area

Boom. You have a nice simple removable rack to carry your bike inside. Takes 30 seconds to re mount wheel and seat post. I marked the seat post to get right seat height.

Edit: Probably won't fit if you have a 3rd row seat because of the higher cargo floor.

If you don't have one - get yourself a dropper seat post. One of those things you didn't know you needed until you used one. Makes it easy for this if it drops low enough. Put a DNM cheap one on my wife's bike and it's great so far. Better than my specialized command post.
