Introducing the RAY10

Also, it seems I can't get pricing since they're sold out on the website, but I need to decide if I'm committed before stock comes in and I apparently have $885.06

Can you tell I am ready, lol. I need the gold/copper like a leprechaun looking for the pot at the end of the Rainbow :cheers::cheers:

Thanks. I'll assume the cost is the same for the R10's, and it's very similar to my... other choice of wheels.

There's not a huge gap in preference between them, so if I can't get my hands on these, I'll not feel bad moving on. I would very much like a set though :)

I ordered a set of spline lugs to go with these, since I'm assuming the OEM lugs will not work. I'm also assuming by the fact that it's the only set that comes in quantity of 24 that the M12 x 1.5 is the correct thread?

What is the general opinion on this style lug regarding theft deterrence? Is this enough to prevent thievery? I generally am not in a vulnerable or high-crime area, but these are nice wheels and I wouldn't want to take any chances.

@WREAKTHESHOP
You should be able to get the 24 or the 27 count @ M12 x 1.5 and in ET(extended as well). However, I would check the manual if you are unsure but these are the right count and thread# as well.

To your second point, not being in a vulnerable and/or non high crime area is where things get stolen the most due to lack of awareness of surroundings. Nevertheless, i have heard of gorilla lug locks being a good buy. It is something that has been spoke of on this forum often. Check those out and also do a search for "lug locks", you should find more options as well.

Thanks! I can't figure out what style I need with the SCS rims, though. Would acorn style seating be correct? The website specs say "cone" seat for SCS. I am assuming they mean the same thing. I've only ever seen round, flat and tapered, so I'm hoping these are just two different terms for tapered lugs.

[edit] never mind, I've ordered what I'm pretty sure I need.

RAY 10 17" -10 offset stock suspension

SCSPerformance

I have a set of Ray 10's 17", will they fit on my 2008 4 runner stock suspension on 265 70 17 with out rubbing or very little rubbing ? Or should I stay with stock size 265 65 17? I have read into it and still very conflicted.

You can run either size and all you might have to do is remove the front mud flaps and do some light liner trimming. All stuff that's VERY easy to take care of. Even a cave man can do it:biggrin2:.

Had a chance to meet the team at SCS today when I went to pick up my wheels. Thanks Vuth and Vin for the hospitality!

Wheels look great!

Planning to get some RAY10s but don't want the silver bolts around the lip. Anyone painted them with success or replaced them and have a good source?
