wasn't hard at all. basic socket set will work. just be careful not to mar the finish. when screwing in the new bolts i suggest screwing them in by hand first then snug them down with the socket. less chance of cross threading.

They do not come from the factory with anti-seized. They are only torqued down to about 8-9ft lbs so it's not tight at all. Over torquing them will snap the head right off so just lightly hand snug them back.

I have been looking at Fuel Vector rims, which seem to be the same look as these. Why are these so much of a big deal? I am new to looking at changing wheels etc.. i like the matte gunmetal and curious to know if it is the same color as the D601 anthracite fuel wheel? Anybody have any idea about the fuel wheel?
I agree but the question I have is my 2018 factory wheel has +15 offset with 265 70 R17s. The ray 10s are -10 offset. Which pushes it out from +15 plus another 10, which is 25mm or 1 inch . If I put Toyo 285 70 R17s on these would they stick out of the fender or sit flush? I would like to go with them, but prefer tires flush with wheel well flare. Also I am about to buy and need them in the next few weeks but seems impossible to get them.
One big issue with SCS wheels i can see is although they are nice and hub centric etc.., if you are able to get 4 of them and somehow mess up a wheel, you have zero guarantee to be able to get another one. I don't want to have to buy a 5th wheel just to have it sit around waiting for a messed up wheel. Chances of a messed up wheel are slim for me as i drive mainly in city but do they work with people to get a replacement or are you having to sit at a computer and wait for inventory and hope you get one. Seems like this is all about keeping inventory low and creating the hysteria of hard to get, must be the best etc.. lol. Like what Iphone does when the crazy folks wait in lines over night to get one. If i can be guaranteed a replacement if something happens, that is cool. if not, i will move on to the same looking Vectors. Just curious what you guys see here.

Looking at the vectors....none of the options for 17" have a 6x139.7 lug pattern or 106cm center bore? I would assume they are not hubcentric but lug centric then? ->

Sorry about that. This morning I decided on the SCS Ray 10 in gunmetal, 17". Went to purchase on SCS....sold out. Didn't find them online either. I thought, "huh...that's odd".
I had no idea that they are only available 1 day of the month for 1 minute at a time. I don't mind paying a premium at a dealer plus shipping...but even dealers don't have them.
Fuel Vector comes in 6 X 5.5 which is the same as the 6 X139.7. and they send you a hub ring to make them hub centric. I like the Ray 10s and Vectors, and would possibly buy the Ray10s. if i could buy like a normal person instead of trying to win an album on line as the 20th caller lol Not trying to derail the conversation, but competition breeds changes in supply and demand
I like the Ray 10s, but just don't like the juvenile process. Just my thoughts on a forum. for whatever it is worth. But, i do have a legitimate question on the Ray 10s on what happens if I have an issue with one. I ride around with a Toyota spare until i get lucky to get one?? I don't want to have to buy 5 of them because of supply issues.termite587

I posted a pic of my new lift and wheels. If you want gunmetal and a smokin' look similar to the Ray10s (but can't win their game lol) check out my other post in another section. No hub rings needed and my opinion is the look is better. But, everybody has opinions.
Totally a choice and preference, but I showed like 8 of my friends both and the vectors won out of all of them. Vectors have a continuos concave slant. I really didn’t like the ray10 with their angled dip before it went concave. Glad you like yours but I feel I got the better look
and didn’t have to play a game to get them. I don’t stand in line for phones either lol.

Lol like I said just my opinion. I was fortunate and got my Ray10 first try so no games here. Glad you like your vectors or else all of our trucks would look the same haha.
