Intruder's build and off road pics thread

Sorry, haven't really been around much. Don't really have any more mods I'm planning and the only changes to the truck in the past year have been the addition of an ARB awning and switching from MT/Rs to BFG T/A KO2s. I haven't gone wheeling since the last pictures I posted and left my offroad club because a couple d-bags would team up to bully people on the forum then cry foul to the owner any time someone retaliated. Fly fishing has so much less drama.

Oh, I did go out one other time to help my friend Chris do a review for the Nikon D5. Don't think I posted this before.



I might head out with the jeepers again on New Year's if it isn't -20C like the past few weeks up here. Probably post pics on my instagram at https://www.instagram.com/burningchrome/ if I do. I also still get notifications from the forum when someone mentions me but not for PMs. No idea why.

Anyhow, the whole reason I bought the 4Runner in the first place was to fish out in the mountains more and I think I now have just about the ultimate fishing/camping machine for that purpose. Here's a selection of my best of 2016 shots, though most are where the 4Runner took me.

Current setup with awning and tent deployed. The awning will definitely save your camping trip if it rains.

Are those pictures from the Castle River? That river always has the cleanest water!
Hopefully see you out on the river somewhere in the spring! My rods are packed away/being warrantied by Scott until then.

Nah, those are all the upper Oldman, Racehorse, and Dutch. Scott warranty has treated me pretty well the one time I've used it. 6 weeks total compared to 6 months last time I sent a rod to Sage.

Much respect for "keeping them wet" in all your trout pictures. Great shots!

As an aside, I think I saw you on the 24th coming out of the Edworthy Park area (north of the river). My 4Runner felt a bit inadequate in the presence of yours!

I'm on the Trout Unlimited Bow River Chapter board of directors so I figure I should set a good example ;)

Yup that was me. I go there in the winter to walk the dog. In the summer we get our walks by going fishing instead.
