IONIC CXV running boards (PICS)

OK I know this is not everyone's cup of tea but my 4R has now become the family wagon so practical over fun is how its gotta be. I have a 2007 JK that is a dedicated trail rig. I sold the OEM running boards because they looked like tumors on the side of the rig but with little kids it was a pain for them to get in and out. No offroading meant no sliders... so I decide to roll the dice on IONIC CXV running boards. They are very factory looking and easy to install (about an hour by myself). They are much thinner than factory and dont stick out near as far. Over all pretty damn happy with them and they dont look near as bad as the ones I ripped off. so for anyone in the same situation buy with confidence. I purchased mine from runningboardworld.com

Called them direct and got a $30 off code and free delivery

So without further adieu .......

ya I was pleasantly surprised. Basically bought them and only had a picture of a ford escape for reference so I was a bit nervous until I got them on.

I am considering buying some. You mention they don't stick out as much as the OEM ones. How do you find stepping on them? Is the tread actually wide enough to step on... It looks like only your toes would fit on the edge making it easy to slip and also make it easier to scuff up the side trim. They do look nice though.

I haven't.... yet anyway. I am still debating it. I noticed in the 2014 thread a lot of members talking about the OEM R1 model running boards which look very similar to these. They seem to be on a lot of the '14 LE's in the Gulf and South East regions. That could also be an option, but maybe more costly too.
