I recently switched to iPhone 4S and while the caller id works on the iPhone it does not work on my Nav display.

Any ideas or fixes?

Thanks!

I had to remove the "1" from my caller id records on the phone itself. (Contacts). Once I did that, I wiped the address book in the NAV and re-transferred it. All my contacts are now coming up on both phone/nav at the same time. (Correct caller id).

My address book does not have any "1" prefixes...the only time I get a "1" prefix on an incoming call is in the 4runner.

I'll have to do some more checking, I don't remember having to change any other option to make it work but it's been a long time. I'm not sure why it would be showing as "1-xxx-xxx-xxxx" on your NAV when the contact doesn't show it that way. I was almost certain this would work for you, since it's what I had to do and I had the same exact issue. I can tell you that I'm on IOS 5.01 (I haven't updated to 5.1 yet, because I'm jailbroken). I'm also on a 3GS (I'm waiting on the new iPhone to come out this year). I'll do some more digging in my NAV and see if there was another option, I don't recall seeing anything else off hand but I'll check it out and get back to you.

EDIT: Updated. *

I went out to the truck and looked at every NAV option phone related. I checked speed dials, address book, settings, etc. I found nothing to indicate the "1". I'm not sure if your phone is another carrier, I'm on AT&T. I also looked thru my phone, and I can find no settings in there that would cause contacts to pre-fix with a 1. Sorry man, i've exhausted all options here. I don't see any reason it shouldn't work for you. Perhaps it's a bug in the 4s? I don't know, as I don't own one or have one to test with. I did find an interesting read on apple's site for you - > https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3388685?start=0&tstart=0

Good luck man.

I had something similar. My 4s phone initially was synching with my address book just fine until about a week ago when I updated the OS. After that, I noticed my address book, speed dials and caller ID wasn't working. I thought maybe the OS update erased it. I've tried tonre-synch several times, butnitndoesnt seem to want to take. Maybe someone smarter than me has an idea.
