I think you need this.

The Pioneer CDRB10 adapter allows you to connect any auxiliary source (cassette, MP3, Minidisc, etc.) with RCA outputs to your Pioneer changer-controlling receiver (with IP-Bus input). The CDRB10 accepts an RCA patch cable from your auxiliary source and connects to the changer input on the Pioneer receiver. The auxiliary source must have an output voltage of 1 volt (or less), or a volume control to adjust output level.

I bought an ipod last week with the adapter that has the music play through the radio. You know, the wireless adapter. It sounds like s**t. I can't find my receipt or I would take it back. It has all kinds of static. I was hoping for it to at least sound like a cd. My neighbor has his ipod with and adapter that plugs into the casette slot. That one seems to sound fine. His is a Lexus. I have the basic standard radio. Anyone has any suggestions if I'm doing something wrong, let me know. I would appreciate it.

Well if its the one where you tune it to the statoins (fm modulator) Then yea, the sound quality will be pretty bad. I believe the only way to get good sound quality is to hook it up directly to the head unti via input. Some have em, some dont.

You need the other thing to change your CD Changer input to an RCA input and then use the wire I just listed above.

Yea I kinda figured it might not make sense. I got my GF an IPod for Xmas and bought the iTrip..... which is junk. This is the only other option she has and luckily like you she has this same option. You need to go through the AUX option when you hit the Source button. Yours has this right? From all the research I have done this looks like how it works.

Well I dont have the AUX button now, but the local audio place said when I install that one adapter it will be availabe since theres nothing hooked up to it now. Do you know if thats true?

Sounds like it would be. I guess you installed a CD changer it would have that option if it were there. I would think it's true.

I don't know for sure since I haven't got this far with my girlfriends car but I would assume its going to be the best sound option. The tape you get that his, the fm modulator you get background noise and static here and there.... this should be just as clear as a set of headphones I would imagine. Let us know how it goes.

I have the alpine unit and cable, and it honesly sucks. The problem is that the alpine unit can't scroll through the playlist as fast. I have the 40 gig ipod and if I want to hear an artist near the middle or end, it takes forever to get there. If you only use a few playlists or have a smaller ipod, it would probably be fine.

I wonder if you can change the setting of the knob to react to each click of the knob as one movement when you spin it fast...

A friend just bought an alpine with AiNet, he was told to buy the old, Alpine made Ipod kit for it off ebay as the new one was outsourced to someone and it was not out yet. He did and it works Perfect. His Ipod is in the glove box and the runs all of it from his Alpine headunit.

Just to save you the mild frustration that I had when I installed the RB-10 on the Pioneer DEH-P47DH head unit in my Jeep. My head unit required me to "enable" the AUX input on the stereo before it recognized that there was anything plugged into it.

You have to go into the setup functions, which on my model was accessed by turning the unit off and then holding the "F" button down until it entered the setting mode.

Other than that, the RB-10 unit works great. BTW- if you already have a CD Changer plugged into the IP-BUS port, you will need the RB-20 instead. (I think thats the right number for the pass through.)
