Older men seem to equate the full size trucks as mens & mini/mid as chick trucks. Small truck = chick truck. At least that is the way I have always heard it from them. These are the same idiots that can barely tie their own shoes at work though... My wife drives the T4R and has it because I chose it for her. She wanted a Pilot. Next time you see a female driving one rejoyce in her good selection skills (relative to other small utes) or know there is a man home who wants her to be prepared to handle whatever mother nature throws at her and still be able to park the dang thing without a 6 point parking regime...:

Lets face it, SUVs in general are attractive to women because of the safety and stability factors. Some SUVs such as the Highlander and Rav's are the most common. Still Mini-vans are the number 1 Mom's mobile.

I live down in San Diego and from what I've noticed, the man/woman ratio seems to be 50/50. Although, I think here the 4runner is considered more of a girly car. When I brought my new '05 home, my neighbor asked if was for my g/f. I told him it was mine and he thought I was pulling his leg....

What a stupid thing to say! Who notices this stuff? My windows are tinted. For all anyone knows, it could be my grandmother behind the wheel. I live in Ontario, and I notice plenty of 4Runner's, but I'm not looking to see if the driver is a man, woman or lesbo. When I see another 4Runner, I'm looking for mods (I'm always looking for mod ideas) and T4R.ORG stickers!

Demographics

Well in my neck of the woods I see very few women driving 4Runners. I do see a higher proportion driving the GX however.

As someone above mentioned, I don't let a vehicle (or any material thing) define me. When I see someone driving a 4Runner I give a small nod to another educated consumer.

I have given this subject some more thought and I have noticed that when I was driving my '99 Suburban 2500 I had to wear boxers but now in my T4R I can wear briefs.

Who knew this would happen???
