Is 11.8V too low to run down factory battery?

About to get in on a group buy for a Dometic fridge but I have a question about the voltage protection.

The highest setting will shutoff the fridge at 11.8V, is that too low to run the factory battery? I would not run this every day, but would want to run it as much as possible when camping.

Will 11.8V kill my battery?

Your should be ok...like your red blood count...it can, and should, only go so low. That stock battery is a real trooper.

since buying it the warmest temps have been mid 70's, with driving to work and back and no other the battery was enough to run the fridge all night no problem in these temps.

thanksgiving day was mid-70's again and i let the truck sit since Wednesday afternoon. This morning the fridge was off, the voltage protect worked as designed and the truck started without sounding any different than normal (i/e no hesitation from a low battery or anything).

so looks like i am good to go. i plan on using a goal zero 400 or something for summer or when camping but it's good to know that for day to day use when i just have some drinks in the fridge (nothing that the temp is critical) i can run this off just the starter battery and not have to worry about anything
