Is a 2010 Trail towable flat behind a Moho

just wondered if anyone had done it. I know if its full time like the LE, the answer is no according to Remco, but the SR5 is with part time 4WD, which is like the TE, but not sure if the rear axle is the same between the 2

I know we have to have a rear drive shaft de-coupler. Sorry if this has been covered before

There was a thread on this before, and the answer was no for all models. Exception, I think, was decoupling the prop shaft. Try searching.

I though that if you shifted the 4WD system into 'N' that you could as well. Not that I would want to, but I have heard of people doing this. Whenever I have needed a tow in the past (other vehicles) I have told them it is 4WD and I want a flat bed, and that is what always has shown up.

My parents had an old 4WD Bronco II that they towed behind their RV years ago, transfer case in 'N' and off they went. Of course those also had 'dem dar fancy lockin hubs', if that made a difference.

Just because they did it doesn't mean its right.

That's probably a lot cheaper on gas in the long run too, especially if you're running off-road capable tires on the T4R.

That may be true, but they also inquired through Ford and the high-end RV dealership who installed the big tow bar on the front of the Bronco II if it was 'safe/right', to which they all said YES. Personally I would not install (being the dealership) a tow bar on a vehicle that was not meant to be towed, THAT would be stupid.

They have since replaced that with a Jeep Liberty, but that is 2wd, not 4wd, and they have the same tow system in place.
