I give another 5th Gen driver the one hand up wave(non moving) but don't flash them(there could be kids in the car!)

I'll flash people once if they're moving and have their high beams on or if at a stand still, to acknowledge that they have the right away,like when a tie at a 2 way stop sign or something.

2 flashes warns if I see a kojak with a kodak!

On a more serious note, flashing high-beams should be reserved for warning others about traffic cops or letting people know their high-beams are in your face.

If just saying howdy, a wave or thumbs up is all that's required.

Good reasons for flashing

There are a few justified reasons for flashing.

Cops
Deer
Road hazard
Turn your lights ON dummy
Turn OFF your high beams
Somthing is wrong with your car
Giving right of way
(more things along these lines that I might be forgetting)

However, I have been flashed a TON and if I run down my list above and nothing applies and your not driving a T4R (they never are) then u are just pissing me off!!!

I do love the idea of two hands out the sunroof or flashing fogs

But I think ill just start flashing my man boobs...

Be on the look out for me!

I did once :barf: out the window, and also the occasional :flipoff: but definitely No flash No wave and No two hands out the roof

The cool T4R peeps know who the other cool T4R peeps are. No need to make a scene

I was disappointed to read that this thread was about flashing and not about FLASHING.

No flashing, no waving. Maybe just a nod or at most a lil' smile. 4Runner owners (in general) are just too wicked/smart/chill/cool/crazy/hip/badass to "flash".

Here in Colorado there are so many 4Runners that it'd be strobe light action. On my block alone, 2 other 4Runners and in my neighborhood - too many to count.

And now... one less w/out BFLAN :sobbing:
