I have a Toytec Boss suspension with 600# coils. After about 2 years of driving on them I recently added an aluminum front bumper, winch and aluminum skids. (weights 59, 63 and 40 lbs respectively.) After install the front end had sagged considerably and I had the suspension height adjusted, alignment done etc by a local shop. Afterwards I felt that the ride was more rough and after a while it seemed to soften a bit. (All of this is very subjective and no change at all may have occurred.) In order to get the truck level the shocks had to adjusted up 1 ¼”. The truck now sits more level that before when measuring from center hub to bottom of the wheel wells. (although I never minded the small amount of rake it had previously.) So now I am questioning if the front coils are over compressed? And if they are does that result in a rougher ride? As well I read in another post that the over compressed coils might also limit off road performance by reducing down travel? And lastly if the coils are over compressed what size coil would be the right size?
