It's ugly but they just do that. Whether from being overfilled (which I admittedly do every time I grease them) or just from articulating, grease is always pushing past the ends of the boots on mine. I clean them periodically, check to make sure the wire clamp is still present on the ends of the boots, and add grease every 5k miles or so. This set has been solid for over a year now, the old non-greasable style lasted way less time/miles. I think of it as a way to let the ball joint grease be refreshed constantly, although a sealed design would be better.
