I think we are all wondering this!
they will be priced similarly to the 80 series double cup holders. Those are $55-60 BUT they have two black inserts and these only have one. That would probably put these in the $50 price range. Each print is almost a 1/2 spool of filament which is $30 per roll close to 24 hours of printing. With the cost of shipping, packaging, and filament I'm about $30 out of pocket. Then I sand, acetone, and paint them which is a few more dollars. then there is the hardware and adhesive and the wear and tear on my machines which ends up in the $5-10 range a piece. At $50 each that leaves me about a $10-15 profit. Not much but at least it's something. So I am pretty confident after a 1/2 dozen prototypes being made, that $50 will be the price.

We can appreciate the work you are putting into these things I am sure you would have no issue selling these for that price!
Now I know I am NO expert in 3-D Printing. Are you able to make the walls hollow so you dont use as much of the filament spool? I guess it may be hard with how thin they are to begin with with rigidity being a factor.
I can also appreciate being upfront about the cost. You are running a business and need to make money! I understand fully!

The walls are not solid. That would probably be 1.5-2 spools of filament and weigh 3-4 lbs. I print the walls with 4 layers. That ends up being about 1/10th of an inch think. I then use a 20% fill inside the walls. That is very similar to styrofoam. It's 20% plastic/fill and 80% air. That is a very stout part but not super heavy. If I go thinner walls I tend to start getting minor cracking around around 15-20. 4 walls seems to be the sweet spot for long prints. 20% fill seems to be the sweet spot for fill.
I know I stated I would have some pics of the tan 4WD cup holder up tonight BUT.... mother nature had different plans. I'm up in the San Bernardino mountains of socal and a huge fire decided to pop up right by my house. My canyon was totally full of smoke so I had to leave and head down the mtn. to stay with family. I couldn't keep my kids in that horrible smoke. We have not been evacuated yet so I hope I will be able to go home tomorrow. As soon as I can, I will get pics up of the final design for both the 2WD and 4WD cup holders.
So I got up before the sun this morning and tried to head home. The hwy to my house is closed from the fire but they allowed me through since my specific town had not been evacuated yet. I grabbed 4 machines, a bunch of clothes, family photo albums, and stuff for our kids. Got back to my moms and snapped a few pics of the 4WD cup holder. I thought this would be the final design but I still have a couple tiny fitment changes that are needed. The notch I made for the "P-R-N-D-2-1" bezel was not enough. I need to notch it about 1/8" of an inch more. I also made a small change underneath to snug it up to the console better. I already made those changes to the file and will start a new print as soon as I get these machines set back up.

I know there are two methods for attachment, but what is your preferred method if you were putting it in your truck?
I used the adhesive only on my 80 series. It held fine for 2 years. I sold it like that and the new owner has had no issues BUT it was predominately ON the console and not hanging off the side. Because of that fact, I would at least use one of the 2 provided screws. You will want to predrill a small hole to prevent cracking the console. You can also just use the adhesive only and see if it holds. Odds are, it will but if not then use the screws at that point.

As soon as I get back from my camping trip I hope to post these up on my site. That would be on June 30th or possibly a day or two after that. It depends on how competent my new employee is at running my machines when I'm gone. Fingers crossed he will be able to keep them all running.
