looks similar maybe. it works MUCH better, and is quite a bit faster.
seen up close(which I have) one of each, they aren't the same winch.
I wouldn't have a SB, they're junk.

hm, I just took a quick look at the specs...they are basically the same. maybe they are the same winch now, I know they for sure weren't before.
there are a few people I wheel with, that run the smittybilts, and they are much slower than the RR.
the RR is also rated to 8500, the SM only to 8k. not sure how/where, since they have the same motor rating, and gear ratio.
