Is this bad for my 4runner

it was raining today and I accelerated too much and my car lost control and the atrac and lsd kicked in and it made some horrible sounds and it sounds like it can't be too good for the car.. So my question is how bad is it on the 4runner when all of that happens?

you're fine. have you ever started from a stop on a steep hill? it makes freaky noises too.

ya that's when your car starts rolling backwards when it's in Drive. Both of these sounds just seem like it is bad for the 4runner

it's just the electronic systems doing their job, no worries. They react much quicker than you do...

Just a little added wear on the brakes. Drive with a little more caution in the future.

Don't worry about it. It's just VSC doing it's job. VSC kicking in isn't much different than a panic stop with ABS engaged, the difference is VSC controlling the braking at each wheel individually and it may cut engine power.

I set off VSC going around the corner (about 15 mph) that gets iced near my ski lease. When VSC corrects the fish tailing, it feels like the rear end got nice swift kick from the side. The beeping and ABS sounds will startled your passengers more than anything else.

Gosh, I hope it's not bad for your 4Runner. I set mine off several times a day, sometimes just for fun.

When it beeps at me, I get flashbacks to driving with my mother... Not too crazy about that.
