Is this bad..if so how bad?

Ok, I'm sure everyone knows our engines are not really quiet when they start up. I love our roaring engines from a cool start up. Anyways...
Lately, i've been accidentally staying at my girlfriends house too late, like 2am late.Her mom's room faces the road/my car when i leave. It woke her up a couple times and got her in trouble with her mom. Luckily, my girlfriend lives on a hill, so lately, i put my car in neutral and roll down for a while, good enough where she probably won't hear my 4runner and start it in neutral. Sometimes start it while i'm rolling.

I don't constantly do that, but i'm just curious if its bad for the ride, in anyway. Thanks for the look and advice.

If you for some unforeseen emergency had to stop in a hurry you would not have power assisted brakes or steering for that matter.

Maybe parking a little further away from the house to begin with would be a better idea and get a little exercise in the process. :bigok:

I agree. Nothing like a nice run in the night to er... cool you down.

That happens when my girlfiend leaves the house too , but it never wakes my wife up at all.


It shouldn't be a problem.............. enjoy a accidental late nights.

Not if he has the strength to push to get it started down the hill and to steer without power assist.

I find my self going in N on some hills here, nothing wrong with it if the car is started. A few times for the hell of it I shut off the car. PS lost, but the brakes work the same until you REALLY have to slam on them. I would be curious about this too.

I don't think you should be worried about losing your brakes. Remember, there's always emergency brake pedal.

Also to be fair you should let the girlfriend push and you hop in the truck and drive ............. The way I look at it is if you are both going to "Sin" she should at leased help you make a run for it.
