ISR mod on a 2002

Hey what's up guys, so I'm trying to figure out this isr mod on a 2002 and I can't seem to find anyone with a finished product.

I keep searching on here but my manifold doesn't have the port like the 01 or later models. Also I keep going on to yota tech but the write up that's on there for a 02 is so old that the pictures won't fully load on any of my computers. I've even tried their app.

I'm just concerned to see where the hose from the silencer box goes. I keep looking but the only guys that have pictures up have the super charger or suggest go on yota tech, does anyone have a clear picture of the finished product? Or any info on where the hose goes? I know I need some extra hose that I'll have to buy but where do I plug it back into?

i am about to un-do my ISR mod. I want quiet. I also want to go back to my stock muffler from my Borla, but that's more costly.

Thanks for the link but that looks like a 2000... 02 have a different method. All the threads I keep seeing say that the hose doesn't go back to the intake tube. The yota tech link describes it but I can't load the dam pictures lol

2001 and 2002 are exactly alike with no differences whatsoever.

Edit: also worth mentioning I have the top end out of a 2002 anyways. Still performed the mod the same way when I swapped components and the plenum.

You should check out the link that was provided. Clearly states that the 02 engine has less ports then the 01 and earlier models

Okay. Fair enough then. That link is super old and there is no other documentation I can find that shows the difference.
Regardless, my method will still work regardless of how many ports there are or aren't. In my method I added a tube back onto the pipe I used to delete the silencer box and simply reconnected the hose back on to it. That is why my method works even with an 02 plenum.

The hose most definitely can be put right back on to the new tube you use. There is plenty of vacuum. There are some people who use brass barb fittings to get it to work.

I think you are over complicating it. If you've got a hose on a silencer currently, then when you do the ISR mod it needs to connect to your new intake somehow. Either tap in a barbed fitting or add one to your new intake section. It's not rocket science. Deleting the hose is not an option.

I was under the impression that the 96-98 was the same, and the 99-02 was the same.
All you should need is a threaded barbed hose fitting (from Home Depot for like $4). Simply get the ISR tube and drill a hole in it. Screw the barbed hose fitting into it and glue for good measure if it's not tight. Get a slightly longer vacuum hose (maybe 4" longer) and attached it to where the original hose went (which leads to the fuel pressure regulator, incidentally) and the barbed hose fitting on the ISR tube.
If you want to measure hose size, just take the existing hose in with you to Home Depot and AutoZone.

Show a picture of your engine bay. You should have an adapter 'bracket' that the vacuum hose comes from. Simply a hose 'extension' from the FPR that keeps the hose from resting on the hot intake plenum. If you don't, you've had some cowboys in there.
