Looking for possible suggestions on my issue regarding alignment. I installed bilstein 5100 set at 1.75 inches two weeks ago. After the installation I was expecting the alignment to be off or the steering to feel funny. I was glad that when I took it for a test drive and driving a couple miles that the feel and handling felt better than factory. Smoother over bumps and a more dampened feel. Yesterday I finally had the time to take it to the alignment shop and after the alignment the steering feels "loose" over little bumps. It almost feels like the front end has a slight thud or rattle. Never experienced bumpsteer but that could be it. The weird part is I know caster has a lot to do with that but my initial caster readings were below 2 and he moved it to around +3.5. I asked the guy to get it to in between 3 and 4 because I figured it would be a stretch getting there considering I have stock UCAs. To my surprise it now feels worse than factory and even worse than right after the 5100 install pre-alignment. The only thing I could think of is maybe my camber and toe where off enough after I installed the 5100s that it created "isometric tension" in the suspension system causing it to feel tighter and more stable at the expense of added wear of course, had I kept it that way. Here are my readings. Your insight and advise would be really appreciated.
