Well, it's obvious the owner cares more about being right than any potential 4Runner business. Probably a decent fabricator but people skills need work.
I'd grant anyone a bad day/week/month, certainly been there, but it's how you handle these things that make the difference. He needs one of those "The Customer Is Always Right" plaques.

I realize the problem you had is with a 5th gen part but it is also with a company that makes things for more than 1 gen as well as other vehicles and I'm not saying you are wrong. Poor build quality and poor costumer service sucks and I don't think they are going to just scr*w 5th gen people and be cool to everyone else. By posting in that thread you can save someone with another gen the same headache you are going through that may not be researching in the 5th gen threads. Protecting the community as a whole isn't gen specific.
I check that thread when I'm looking to buy something from a company that makes things for more than 1 gen. If people are having problems with a company that own a different gen, it gives me a warning, maybe I shouldn't buy from this company because I might have a similar problem when buying something for my gen. Build quality and costumer service are usually across the board.

Agree, Springtail Solutions makes awesome products.
Wish they would start making them for the 4Runner...wouldn't have to worry about [MENTION=135550]OrangeBoxxfab[/MENTION] 's shenanigans!
Side note:
Somebody should drop Springtail a email maybe they would be willing to capture a market, that is obviously lacking! Just Sayin'

Was hoping to hear what happened, sad it has turned out this way. At least you got your money back and have made it clear you'd have to be a fool to buy something from them, as any issues would go unresolved and you being blamed for said issues.

I absolutely know I sent back the welded replacement bracket (which is longer than the original). Why? Because I cut my finger (again) on an improperly edge-broken burr while packing it up to ship it back.
I checked where I keep my car parts and I accidentally kept the original, way too short, bracket that initially didn't fit. I will gladly ship it back to you at your expense. Let me know asap as I will otherwise be throwing it away.
For the purpose of confirming your parts were not manufactured incorrectly, the second (welded) bracket will work better as it's longer than the original, yet still too short as pictured in the first post of my original thread.

First off, OP I'm really sorry this happened! Where are you located? Maybe we can help you out.
We have had multiple people contact us regarding this product and specifically about this thread. Currently, we are working on our rock sliders for the 4Runner. I can look at a solution for this on the next test fit. I know we wouldn't offer customs pieces but we could definitely offer the product.
